Covid Guidelines

We would like to inform you that in line with Government and Public Health England guidelines we will safely provide a cleaning service and have implemented the following measures to safeguard our MM team:

• Cleaners must not clean if anyone in their household has symptoms (however mild), is being shielded or self-isolating
• Clients must not allow cleaning if anyone in their household has symptoms (however mild), is being shielded or self-isolating
• Clients must exercise social distancing of at least two metres at all times by either:

1. leaving their home while the cleaner is working, or
2. stay in a different room to the cleaner

Cleaners have been provided with detailed cleaning guidance

• The Cleaner will all be provided with face masks and disposable gloves for each household they clean
• The Cleaner will thoroughly wash their hands before, during and after cleans with warm soapy water, also to carry their own soap
• The Cleaner will remove footwear (which will be placed in their own carrier bag) on entry to the client’s home
• Surfaces to be cleaned with cleaning products and where possible with an antibacterial disinfectant spray such as Dettol
• Cleaning cloths and mop covers to be machine washed at high temperatures (60°C or above), after every use
• The Cleaner will pay special attention to the kitchen, bathroom and touch points such as door handles, light switches remotes and other areas frequently touched by hands
• To increase the effectiveness of cleaning products, warm water should be used to clean surfaces and floors
• Avoid shaking dirty laundry and soft furnishings such as pillows, cushions, bathmats and rugs

Summary of the latest Government Advice

• Work in the home like cleaning can continue provided the person carrying out the work has no symptoms and that no-one in their household is shielding or self-isolating
• Social distancing of at least two metres to be maintained
• Travel to and from this type of work is allowed
• No work should be carried out by the MM team in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded (except contactless food delivery)
